About us
Gannet Beach Adventures celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2002, ranking it among the most long- standing visitor attractions in New Zealand.
When it began, Gannet Beach Adventures used Model T Fords, old trucks and buggies to tour along the beach. As a result of the corrosive effects of the harsh environment on these vehicles, tractors were introduced around 1969.
The tractors now used are 1949 Minneapolis Molines - a true vintage classic. They are some of the very few remaining in the world still doing an honest days work.
The trailers are purpose built for comfort, safety and manoeuvrability.
Current owners / operators, Colin and Kim Lindsay, have recently purchased the business, with Colin having worked on the tours as a guide for 11 years alongside the previous owners Rod and Dayna Heaps, and the original founder of the business, Neil Burden.
Gannet Beach Adventures is a locally owned and operated family business that will do its best to give you
"more FUN than you ever imagined!"
